Faith and Doctrine

The Holy Scriptures

We believe the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testament to be the verbally inspired Word of God, the final authority for faith and life, inerrant in the original writings, infallible, and God-breathed.

The Godhead

We believe God revealed Himself to man through His Word as a triune God (defined as three eternal distinctions in one divine essence).

The Person and Work of the Father

The Bible reveals the Fatherhood of God in the Fatherhood over Creation.

The Person and Work of Christ

We believe that the Lord Christ, the eternal Son of God, became man without ceasing to be God, having been conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary, to reveal God and redeem sinful men and women. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died on the cross for all mankind and was physically resurrection from the dead. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ ascended to heaven and is now exalted at the right hand of God.

The Person and Work of the Holy Spirit

We believe that the Holy Spirit is a person who convicts the world of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment; and, that He is the supernatural agent in regeneration, baptizing all believers into the body of Christ, indwelling and sealing them unto the day of redemption. We believe that He is the divine teacher who guides believers into all truth.

The Personality of Satan

We believe that Satan is a person, the author of sin and the cause of the fall; that he is the open and declared enemy of God and mankind; and that he shall be eternally punished in the Lake of Fire.

The Total Depravity of Man

We believe that mankind was created in the image and likeness of God, but that in Adam’s sin, the race fell, inherited a sinful nature, and became alienated from God.

Salvation

We believe that salvation is the gift of God brought to mankind by grace and received by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, whose precious blood was shed on Calvary for the forgiveness of our sins.

The Church

We believe that the Church, which is the body and the espoused bride of Christ, is a spiritual organism made up of all born-again believers during this present age. It is made up of local believers gathered together to carry out the Great Commission. We believe that God is sovereign in the bestowing of all His gifts and that the gifts of evangelists, pastors, and teachers are sufficient for the perfecting of the saints today, and that speaking in tongues and the working of sign miracles gradually ceased as the New Testament Scriptures were completed and their authority became established.

The Doctrine of Last Things

We believe that the world will not be converted during this present dispensation.  We believe that the next great event in the fulfillment of prophecy will be the coming of the Lord in the air to receive unto Himself into heaven both His own who are alive and remain unto His coming, and also all that have fallen asleep in Jesus, and that this event is the “Blessed Hope” set before us in the Scriptures, and for this we should be constantly looking.

The Eternal State

We believe in the bodily resurrection of all men, the saved to eternal life, and the unsaved to judgment and everlasting seperation from God.
