Open Door Internship Program
An intern is "an advanced student...in a professional field gaining supervised, practical experience" (Merriam-Webster Dictionary). We look forward to building up students in ministry or related fields by giving them a real work experience at Church of the Open Door!
As an intern, you will be given significant responsibilities within the security of supervision. You will work closely with a supervisor who has both your interests and the church's interests in mind. You will be given practical work that will both benefit the church body and prepare you for your career. You will also have the opportunity to grow personally and spiritually in a safe, supportive environment.
This internship program is designed to show you how church ministry operates. The best way to know if you would like to use your gifts and talents in a church setting is to intern at a church. We offer the same team spirit and responsibility that accompanies any church position, with the added structure of a supervisor who works closely with you to accomplish previously set goals. Regardless of your field, you will receive hands-on experience in your field and the chance to objectively evaluate your decisions.
